GPU-based high-precision orbital propagation of large sets of initial conditions through Picard–Chebyshev augmentation

چکیده
The orbital propagation of large sets initial conditions under high accuracy requirements is currently a bottleneck in the development space missions, e.g. for planetary protection compliance analyses. proposed approach can include any force source dynamical model through efficient Picard–Chebyshev (PC) numerical simulations. A two-level augmentation integration scheme proposed, to run an arbitrary number simulations within same algorithm call, fully exploiting performance and GPU (Graphics Processing Units) computing facilities. performances obtained with implementation C NVIDIA® CUDA® programming languages are shown, on test case taken from optimization Solar Orbiter-like first resonant phase Venus.
